It all began in college at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota for Julie and Andrew. Although they met freshman year, neither of them really can recall all that well. It wasn’t until the very last semester that they ran into each other while out at a local bar and began texting. Andrew invited Julie to dinner and she politely declined not knowing she would leave him to celebrate his birthday by his lonesome. The odds were in her favor as Andrew asked her out again and at that time she jumped at the opportunity!
Quickly into dating, they had a quick and relaxing vacation at Cove Point Lodge on the North Shore of Minnesota for Julie’s brithday in late summer. It was a much needed vacation where they were able to spend some quality time together that they decided four years later to return.
After a long work week, Friday night came along and the two decided to cozy up in their cottage. The next morning they got up to enjoy all that the North Shore had to offer such as Gooseberry Falls, Tettegouche State Park, and Betty’s Pies. It was a scenic and peaceful morning of exploring that led them back to the sandy beach on Cove Point. Julie was taking in the views of Lake Superior and looked over at Andrew to find that he was on one knee asking her to marry him! According to the couple, it couldn’t have been more perfect! The excited newly engaged Julie and Andrew celebrated in great fashion with champagne and dinner back in their cottage. They left their mini vacation to go back home filled with excitement to share the news!
Julie and Andrew’s special day quickly approached and they didn’t let the overcast weather in May ruin what they had set out for the special day! Their closest friends and family came together on May 12th, 2018, from all over the state to celebrate with them at the beautiful St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral in Minneapolis. Julie went with a timeless, ivory Julianna dress from Posh which went perfectly with Andrew’s Light Gray suit from Knight’s Chamber. Julie’s bridesmaids wore Kennedy Blue dresses from the Wedding Shoppe to match the classic theme while Andrew’s groomsmen wore charcoal-colored suits to compliment. Donatos put their special touch throughout with the most stunning florals while Buttercream delighted the couple and guests with a decadent cake! The evening continued as the couple and wedding party headed to the North Loop for some photos with the downtown cityscape. Fulton Brewery was the best way to end the night after the ceremony for drinks and more fun photo opportunities outside. The great Minneapolis Mariott Northwest hosted while music throughout the night while Rick of Instant Request set the mood for the guests to dance the night away!
Thank you Julie and Andrew for letting Wedding Shoppe and Kennedy Blue be apart of your wedding day and we wish you all the love, happiness, and health in this new journey as husband and wife!

Hello! What color are the bridesmaid dresses? I wish you would include that in the description of each wedding so we can get an idea of how a particular color photographs or appears in real life. Thanks!
