How to Take Bridesmaid Measurements For the best fit, we recommend using a soft measuring tape — and asking someone to help for the most accurate results. BustWrap the measuring tape around your back and under your arms, across the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape level with the floor and comfortably snug (not tight). WaistStand up straight and bend to the side — the crease that forms is your natural waist. Measure around that point, which is typically the narrowest part of your torso.
