Made to order dresses are manufactured when your order is placed. They are delivered approximately 16 weeks from the date they are ordered. Made to order dresses are made according to our size charts, not custom to one’s measurements.
Our sizing is best determined by our size chart. We recommend having your bust, natural waist, and hip measurement taken professionally, then compared to our size chart. Out of those 3 measurements, your size is determined by the largest size of the 3. For example, if your bust is a size 12, your waist is a size 16, and your hips are a size 14, your recommended size would be a 16. Then, when you visit your seamstress, alterations will ensure the gown fits perfect! Be sure to reference our Measurement Guide when having your measurements taken.
We process returns for an 80% refund if returned within 14 days of you receiving your gown - as long as your event date has not passed! All you have to do is submit a return/exchange form! Kennedy Blue does not provide a return shipping label.
Accessories are eligible for a full refund if the customers reaches out within 14 days of receiving an item. To return accessories you will need to submit a return/exchange form!
Our current delivery dates range from 8-12 weeks from order date depending on whether a rush or standard order has been selected. You can view estimated deliver dates online or contact customer service for those dates!
How the gown fits you is primarily dependent on your proportions between your hip, waist, and bust. Our size chart is a great guide, but we know that every body is different. If you have a large bust, generally there will be extra space in the waist, or if you're a little less busty, there will generally be extra space in the bust of the gown. Alternations are necessary to ensure that your gown fits perfectly to your unique body!
We do not have a Kennedy Blue store, as we are primarily online! The Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul, MN is currently our exclusive retailer. Otherwise, utilize our At Home Try-On program to sample our gowns in the comfort of your home!
We have many sister gowns in our collections. A great example of this is our Cameron gown and Devin gown. They are a pair of our embroidered dresses. However, Devin includes beading and sequins on the bodice, whereas Cameron does not! Below are a couple other sister dresses we have.
We electronically color all of our gowns online. Because of this, some of the colors may appear different from photo to photo. The best way to see the true color, is by ordering a swatch or an At Home Try-On!

We dye all of our fabric electronically. This means we don't have any inconsistencies in our dye-lots. This is to ensure all of your bridesmaids' dresses (ordered together or even separately) are the same color. Go ahead and order those gowns individually for the easiest experience for your bridesmaids!

This will automatically add that product to your 'Wishlist.' To access your wishlist, click 'Wishlist' in the upper right hand corner of the website. Once there, you can share the page via Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Email or URL. Create an account or login to permanently save your wishlist.
The reason that our sample dresses are priced at $10/dress is to help us cover the costs of two-way shipping. In fact, that price doesn't even cover those costs, so although that money cannot be applied to your final order, you are getting a good deal!
All of our At Home Try-On kits are shipped out as 2 or 3-day Priority Mail. However, due to holidays, weather, and other postal interference's, USPS is not always able to guarantee this time frame and once it leaves our facility.
We make it extremely easy to ship your sample dresses back to us. In your package along with your dresses, you will find a shipping bag with a prepaid shipping label. Simply place your dresses in the bag and drop it in the mail on the 3rd day! If you don't have a shipping bag, this may be due to the amount of dresses you ordered. In this case, place the gowns back into the box and put the new shipping label on top of the old one!
Day one of your 3-day period begins the day you receive the dresses! We have access to all of the USPS information, so each of our At Home Try-On kits is being tracked on a daily basis. That way we know when they were delivered to you and when they were shipped back to Kennedy Blue. Your dresses should be placed in the provided shipping bag with the prepaid shipping label and put in the mail back to us on the 3rd day. If your 3rd day happens to fall on a Sunday, they should be placed in the mail on Monday.
If you keep the dresses for more than the allowed 3 day period, there will be a fee of $10 per day, per dress for 5 days that will be charged upon receiving the late return. After those 5 days, if the dresses have not yet been shipped back, you will be charged the full retail value of the dress in addition to the late fees.
However, we totally understand that things come up in life so if you need the dress(es) for an extra day or two, please just call or email us right away and we'd be happy to accommodate you.
You can place your at home try on order up to 10 days in advance. Let us know what date you would like the dresses in your order notes! We will then ship it to you for accurate delivery as long as there is enough notice.
First and foremost, our at home try-on inventory is updated once daily (Monday-Friday) before 5 pm central time! The inventory online is up to date and shows what is available to order! In the case that your size is not available, try to order a similar size. We want to make sure you get to see the style or color you are interested in, and we recommend determining size by taking your measurements and using our size chart. We do carry many styles that are similar to others, so if you are ever having difficulty with availability on styles, feel free to message us online or email for other style recommendations. If you would like to be alerted when a style comes back in stock, click the 'Email Me When Available' button the right hand side of the screen.
Visit our Bridesmaids At Home Try-On page to find the sample bridesmaid dresses you would like to order. You can select the sample dresses you want to try by simply placing your order through the shopping cart. Once your order is placed, we'll deliver the samples directly to you!
Part of what makes Kennedy Blue so special is that it is currently sold exclusively at the Wedding Shoppe, Inc. in St. Paul, MN. The At Home Try-On program is offered so that you and your entire bridal party can still try on Kennedy Blue bridesmaid dresses all across the country!
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer international, APO, PO box, or shipments to Alaska/Hawaii for sample gowns. This is due to the timeline that is required for the try-on program. Any orders placed with these addresses, will be notified and cancelled.
This means that that particular size and color is out with another customer right now. Check back in about a week or so to see if the dress is back in stock for you or sign up for an email alert. If you want a dress right away, we would recommend ordering one size up, if possible, and having a friend hold it in the back while trying on if it's a bit too big. Afterwards, you will be take your bust, waist and hip measurements and compare them to our size chart to determine what size will fit you best. Keep in mind, it is always better to have the dress a little big, than small because the dresses can be taken in much more than they can be let out.

If you have a large bust, generally there will be extra space in the waist, or if you're a little less busty, there will generally be extra space in the bust of the gown. Luckily, alterations will be able to take care to ensure the gown fits perfect!
If you are between two sizes, always go with the larger size! Generally alterations are going to be a necessity, so getting a gown that is larger will ensure the gown can be altered. In the case the dress is too small (even a half of an inch can stop a zipper from closing comfortably), a seamstress is not always able to let the gown out. We recommend all sizing choices be based off of our size chart. Our sample gowns are often stretched out due to being tried on and cleaned regularly, so a brand new gown may fit a bit differently! Please see our sizing guide online here: Measurement Guide.

Our gowns come 61" long. No extra length is offered but the dresses do run longer than most other designers in the industry! Generally 5'10 is the standard height for our gowns, but order an At Home Try-On to see if that length will work for you!
Yes! To ensure a perfect fit, our gowns generally need alterations to accommodate any body type. The most common alterations are a hem, side seams, and straps. Other alterations may also be needed, but your seamstress will advise any other necessary alterations!
Generally seamstresses are unable to let a gown out to fit a whole size larger, if at all. In this case, have your measurements taken and contact a Kennedy Blue specialist for assistance in an exchange as time allows!
If your gown is less than two sizes too big, a seamstress will be able to take care of those alterations! In the case you need to go down 3 size or more, reach out to a Kennedy Blue specialist for assistance in an exchange as time allows!
Alteration timelines vary from seamstress to seamstress and also depends based on the time of year! Generally May-September is a busier time in the wedding industry so alterations may take longer. We would recommend ordering your gown to be shipped no later than a month before your event to ensure plenty of time is available for alterations!
We offer rush orders for an extra fee of $15. Rush orders take approx 8 weeks to be manufactured. If we are unable to accommodate your order you can view our “In-stock” dresses that are ready to ship within 1-3 business days.
If the event date is too close to the delivery date, the manufacturer will decline the order. At that time we will cancel the order and issue a full refund! Generally our dresses are delivered within 7 business days of shipment (Liable to delays due to weather , international customs, and carrier delays) and will need time for alterations. If your order cannot be fulfilled before your event date please contact a Kennedy Blue Specialist to see what options are available to get a gown in time for your event!
Once an order is placed, we are unable to make changes with our manufacturer. If you have not received your order and a change is necessary you will need to fill out a cancellation form. For details on cancellations, please see our cancellation policy.
We accept complimentary cancellation with a full refund if cancellation is made within 24 hours of the order being placed. If outside the 24 hour window, we offer an 80% refund on all cancellations! To process a cancellation fill out our cancellation form.
We provide estimated delivery dates at time of purchase. You will receive a tracking number when your order has been shipped. Delivery is made within 2-4 business days of that date if within the continental US (liable to delays due to weather, international customs, and carrier delays).
Kennedy Blue has a small collection of dresses that do no allow a rush order. This is because our manufacturer does not offer a 'rush cut' on these styles. The following styles that do not allow rush order are: Jenna, Athena, Kay, James, Jeslyn, Alexis and Samantha.

Unlike most companies, we offer an exchange program on your bridesmaid dress! Our dresses are made-to-order so the estimated ship time for a new dress will be up to 12 weeks. Kennedy Blue does not provide a return shipping label. To process an exchange, please fill out our exchange form. Kennedy Blue will then be in touch with further instructions.
